Remediation of contaminated sites
After having gained experience of high interest in consulting and engineering sectors, to complete a complex process of professional and entrepreneurial development, PROGEST has also created a division dedicated to the remediation of contaminated sites. In this sector, we have carried out numerous interventions in the field of asbestos remediation, both compact and flocked, as well as important interventions on contaminated land and sites.
In the asbestos sector, PROGEST can offer about 1000 references. Important and qualifying experiences have also been gained in the field of reclamation interventions on land contaminated by hydrocarbons, as well as, within the scope of the technical protocol called "Terra dei Fuochi", both in the territory of the city of Naples and in numerous municipalities of the area of Naples and Caserta. PROGEST can rely on mobile plant units authorized to treat waste "on the field", such as screens and excavators with screening and crushing buckets.
Case History
Client: Progetto Industrie srl - Caserta.
Carried out Activity: Remediation by removal, packaging and transfer to
landfill of about 85.000 square meters of roofs and side panels in concrete asbestos
eternit and thermal insulating sheaths in free asbestos fibers, performed
at the Caserta plants of the former Saint Gobain.
Client: 3M Italia spa - S.Marco Evangelista (CE)
Carried out Activity: Remediation by removal, packaging and transfer to
landfill of insulating pipes and channels for transporting fluids, consisting of
structures in friable asbestos. Subsequent re-insulation,
performed at the S.Marco Evangelista (CE) plants.
Client: Ferrovie dello Stato spa - Compartment of Naples
Carried out activity: Remediation by removal, packaging and transfer to
landfill of about 4.000 square meters of roofing and side panels in asbestos
eternit, and eternit, forming the coverage of 2 warehouses at the Naples railway yard
Gianturco.
Client: Napoletanagas spa
Carried out Activity: Remediation by removal, packaging and transfer to
landfill of roofs and tanks in asbestos cement eternit. About 40 gas plants
distributed throughout the Campania Region.
Client: ENEL spa - Naples
Carried out activity: Remediation by removal, packaging and transfer to
landfill of materials present in the warehouse of Via Galileo Ferraris in Naples,
consisting of both hazardous and non-hazardous special waste,
including remediation of a pipe insulated with friable fiber asbestos.
Client: Tirreno Power spa - Napoli
Carried out activity: Emergency safety intervention by removing approx
21.000 tons of land contaminated by fuel oils (heavy hydrocarbons),
at the thermoelectric plant of Napoli Levante,
in Vigliena locality in the municipality of Naples.
